[Point of time in canon from which the character is taken] Post-death. (Not like I had a lot of options... xD)

[Background info] Number IX of Organization XIII, referred to as the Melodious Nocturne, Demyx is a Nobody, the shell left over when a person with a strong will loses their heart. He's first seen with the other Organization members in Hollow Bastion, but he doesn't remove his hood until Sora and co. run into him in the Underworld at the Olympus world. They confront him for stealing the Olympus Stone, this little medallion which protects whoever has it from the Underworld's effects. Demyx mistakes Sora for Roxas and asks him to return to the Organization. When Sora doesn't understand what he's saying and pretty much WTFs at him, he pulls out a notecard containing his instructions to 'use agression to liberate his true disposition'. Battle full of predictable Demyx-beating ensues, and Demyx scats, begging 'Roxas' one more time to come back with him. He drops the Olympus Stone as he goes, Sora picks it up, and all is well~

Fast forward a bit, and Demyx crosses paths with Sora again during the mega Heartless invasion of Hollow Bastion. This time Sora's less weirded out and starts seriously disses Demyx, asking how someone so weak could ever be let into Organization XIII and wondering if he can even fight at all (how he's qualified to make these remarks after fighting the guy once is still unknown...). Demyx is understandably upset and tells them they shouldn't judge a book by its cover, etc. He starts mumbling to himself about how he's totally the wrong person for this mission, and Goofy reminds a confused Sora that the Organization's made up of Nobodies with no hearts. This startles Demyx out of his complaining to tell them that of course they have hearts, don't be silly. Sora and co. are unmoved, but Demyx seems to have either reached a decision or just gotten really ticked at them because he tells Sora to shut up and pulls out his sitar and starts another watery epic battle. Which he loses again, disappearing into a puddle of water.

[Personality] He's very laid-back, attempting to carry on pleasant conversations with the people he's been orderded to beat senseless and kidnap. He doesn't seem to really take his fights seriously, calling out things like 'Feel the beat!' and muttering 'Booed again...' when he's defeated. From the way he goes on about being the wrong person for his missions it also seems that he avoids violence except when absolutely necessary, which would also explain his quick departure after his defeat in the Underworld instead of carrying it out to the death. Also he can get pretty whiny when things don't go his way or he's unhappy, repeatedly talking about how he's not cut out for his jobs, and making these funny high-pitched noises when you hit him in the second battle. This could just be stemming from the Nobodies not actually having any real feelings, but he also tends to err on the dramatic side of everything (he's always making these great over-the-top faces at everything). There isn't really any proof of this, but it's very likely that the words 'personal space' are alien to him. He loves music and plays a big-ass sitar. And contrary to what he normally acts, he can be very serious when the situation calls for it.

[Abilities] He can summon and control Dancer Nobodies, as well as summon aforementioned big-ass sitar and use it to direct his water attacks. The water attacks are anything ranging from creating water clones of himself to bringing up giant geysers or battering enemies with globs of floating liquid. He can also do some heavy damage with the sitar itself; his nonviolent disposition makes his hand-to-hand combat skills leave something to be desired.

Do you like animals? I....guess? Animals don't exactly flourish where I stay, but Axel had this squirrel one time and he set it on fire once, and that was kind of cool.
